Welcome! We are James and Millie Latimer and are the proud owners of Rock'n Creek Kennel. For well over 25 years we have been dedicated to the breeding and hunting of the Boykin Spaniel. Our goal is to maintain what the dog was originally bred for - to be one of the best family and hunting companions for all to love and enjoy.
We are strict with our breeding practices, making sure that dogs used to produce litters are OFA hip certified and CERF eye certified.
Taking into consideration size, temperament and trainability of each of the dogs we match together to create future hunters for generations to come.
All pups are whelped in our home where they are handled and socialized from day one until they go home with their new families. Pups are introduced to retrieving lessons before they leave. We give advice and help to new puppy owners in the 'how to's" of housebreaking, training and caring for one of our pups. We insist on updates and hope for pictures of the pups as they develop. We are breeders who care very much, not only about the welfare of our dogs, but for the Boykin breed as a whole.
Rock'n Creek Kennel is situated on seventy acres in St. Matthews, South Carolina which includes beautiful rolling hills, pastures and three ponds. We have one of the finest kennels in the country with 30 inside/outside runs in a heated and air conditioned kennel building. Adjacent to the kennel we have a building that contains a kitchen/family room, a grooming room with bath, laundry room and work shop. Approximately five acres is totally fenced for the dogs to have fun and exercise
